This propagator is referred to as the “Rolls Royce of Propagators” as it delivers precision temperature control, event heat, humidity control, plenty of growing space, height adjustable layers and optional lights, giving your seeds the absolute best chance of success!

Available in two length options (55cm and 111cm) and three height options (single, double and triple) and height extensions can be added at any time to accommodate your taller plants.

Even heat - heat is distributed evenly throughout the base, so there are no hot or cold spots. This means that your seedlings grow more evenly with a high germination success rate.  Even heat for your seedling makes it's easier to manage your watering, so that you can prevent them from drying out.

Accurate temperature sensor (air probe) - triggers the supply of heat depending on the sensor reading. This is an air probe which dangles in the air, and should not be inserted into the compost/soil or the base of your propagator. This means you can maintain the right temperature without wasting electricity.

Large vents – the vents in the lid allow condensation to be released preventing dampening-off without having to remove the lid. The lids help retain moisture for your seedlings which helps speedy and healthy germination, but the addition of this vents mean that you can control the humidity of your seedlings to their preference, providing excellent air circulation.

Robust - this electric propagator has lids and sides are treated to prevent yellowing. Not only this but the unit is made from the same durable, UV resistant acrylic material as aircraft windscreens! Optional Extra - Lights
If you want to go a step further with getting the very best for your plants you can add the set of propagation lights which includes a light connection kit for attaching the lights to the Vitopod.

The light connection kit securely attaches to the ends of the Vitopod and holds the two lights above the Vitopod lids. When you add a height extension to the Vitopod, simply move the connectors up. Using lights like this is far easier than attaching them to the greenhouse roof!

Propagation lights are useful for preventing legginess and yellowing in seedlings and young plants if you like to get a head start on the growing season. We recommend that you have the lights on in the morning and/or evening to extend daylight hours up to 12 hours.

The lights can be switched on and off independently of the propagator.  

The lights are housed in a nanotech enhanced reflector that reflects 99.9% of light and diffuses it deep into the leaves. The lamps typically have a life of 10,000 hours and can be replaced independently of the reflectors.

The Vitopod electric propagator delivers better germination rates, more effctive over-wintering and hassle-free hardening-off of young plants. It was designed by botanists and plant geneticists and is used by many commercial nurseries as well as amateur gardeners because the benefits are based on science. 

Precision temperature control

The temperature of the Vitopod propagator is accurate to within 1C and it can be set between 5°C and 30°C, so you can provide the temperature required by your particular plants. When the sensor registers that the temperature has dropped below the set temperature it gently turns up the power to increase the heat without shocking the plants. When the sensor registers the temperature has increased above the set temperature it turns the heat off. This stable, gentle temperature control results in higher germination rates, faster growth and stronger plants.

Even heat

The Vitopod delivers heat evenly so every seed tray receives the same level of heat. This even heat means that propagation success rate is higher because all of the seedlings or cuttings receive the correct temperature. Other electric propagators have a heating cable in the base which results in hot spots on top of the cable and cold spots in the parts between the heating cable. The Vitopod's even heat is achieved because the heating elements are tightly packed together.

Humidity control

The humidity vents in the Vitopod propagator lids and sides allow you to release the condensation that builds up without removing the whole lid which would waste electricity and expose the plants to too much cold. High levels of condensation can lead to seeds, young plants and cuttings rotting. This is especially a problem at higher propagation temperatures.

I was convinced by someone who grows professionally that a Vitopod was a great investment despite the price so I asked for one for my birthday and got it - the quality is fantastic - so much so that I bought an unheated version so that I can grow on the plants and harden them off conveyor belt style. Brilliant design and manufacture and I love that they are made in the Uk and use recycled materials. I watched several video reviews and they were all good (the only thin I haven't figured out is why people insist on putting the temperature probe through a hole or vent in the top when there is a cable slot provided in the base - that just makes it more difficult to remove the top) Great kit well made - just don't use a screwdriver on the nylon screws - it will strip the threads easily and it isn't necessary (Posted on 25/08/2020)

I got my triple height 100w propagator for Christmas- delighted with it, set it up using a single layer and I have sown my onions and leeks yesterday.

I intend sowing my chili seeds once the onions are moved out of it. Then my tomatoes.

I have ordered quadgrow and chiligrow systems on the back of being more than happy with the quality of the Vitopod, I suspect I'll have to buy another vitopod so I can overwinter my chilis and still have somewhere to sow seeds!

I use my 100w machine to raise plants from seed, and bring on rooted cuttings from my hydropod. Only problem is, although it is a bit of a monster, it is so successful that it fills up so fast! Mine is single tier with lights which enables me to provide perfect conditions. This coming season, which stArts around Christmas time for begonia seeds, I shall be increasing the height to 3 layers and I would recommend that you purchase the 2 layer version for greater air circulation.
The combination of the hydropod and the Vitopod has transformed my propagation practises and are the finest pieces of propagation aids anyone could buy. From an excellent company, ( And British made) (Posted on 28/09/2019)

I am impressed by contact details printed on the instruction leaflets in case of difficulty, some spare plastic screws in case some are lost and a premise of good support in the future. I ordered a 100 watt propagator and it arrived within 3 days. Am really delighted with it as I have been looking for a decent size one after my last one gave up the ghost after 28 years! I was short of one plastic bolt but a telephone call to greenhouse sensations produced 3 more the folllowing day. As yet I have not tested it on seeds as I never start sowing until March but it is all set up and rearing to go. I have, however, established it works! After years of struggling to get chillies to germinate. I decided to purchase a large vitopod 2 tiers. 3 years latter I would not be with out it. the thermostat did fail but wonderful people a greenhouse sensations sorted me with a replacement new and improved thermostat. I rate this product 5 stars as excellent product and would buy another. biggest bonus is the size as you can germinate 5 standard trays at one time.

bought a triple height single prop for myself last year, all works well but would have loved the option of adding internal stacking shelves so seed trays could be added in layers to take advantage of space available. extra layers not used much until plants of a good size. i anticipate this may be helpful overwintering tender tropical plants. may get another and would consider a double if it were more flexible and had dual control climate control as per my car, heat each mat as required. Father Christmas bought me a big double-decker Vitopod and he made an excellent choice (I did put it on my Xmas list tho)! Well made and very, very sexy looking - my carnivorous plants moved in so they could be warm in the cold of the February sun and are over the moon. They're so happy they're refusing to countenance the idea of moving out which means I'll need another Vitopod for the seed propagating it was originally intended for. Grrr...!

On the strength of the Vitopod I have bought two Quadgrows for the greenhouse veg - haven't put them to work yet but I have no doubt as to how effective they'll be. They are really robust - so much so I am about to order two more units on behalf a gardening client without even having tried them out myself yet.

If you thought sugar was addictive, you'll find Garden Sensation's kit even more difficult to resist!

I bought 2 double deluxe ones last year, after the disaster I had with my seeds in 2014, I had great success with them in 2015 with hundreds of beautiful plants, and I started off my seeds for this year last weekend and already I have seedlings coming up, they really are amazing, I use mine in the greenhouse I was worried that in the height of summer when I've finished with them the heat in the greenhouse might wreak the finish but they are still looking brand new, the plastic is not cloudy no faults what so ever. Over winter I even tried growing cactus and carnivorous plants from seed something that I have always struggled with, not with this it worked perfect. They have already paid for themselves with the money saved from doing my own plants instead of buying them in. If mine broke next week without doubt I would buy them again. (Posted on 06/12/2018)

These are great for germinating seeds ive done almost everything I can think of chillies tomatoes aubergines all sorts including my giant pumpkins that need a good constant temp of 30 degrees Celsius for a week to ensure good germination works great also got some lights above mine for early chillies. I bought the small version but with the double height.
I wish I had bought the big version as it's in use all the time!!

My rose cutting started growing in less than a week.
Tomato plants seem to germinate with ease.
Cucumbers were germinated in three days.
Chili plants just keep growing.

I did fit two T5 grow light on the lid and can't recommend this setup highly enough.

I have it in the shed and on a cold night it can still maintain the temperature around 20DegC.

I must write with the utmost praise for Greenhouse Sensation whose customer service & care is exemplary. I wanted my delivery to take place on a specific day a week after I placed the order - it happened as requested. The courier damaged the base of one of my Vitopods due to a lack of care. Although the damage was slight and purely cosmetic, Greenhouse Sensation immediately offered a replacement saying "Your Vitopod should have been treated with care and delivered to you in pristine condition." This is the second year I have been using the Vitopod and I cannot fault it. A few nigles at first but was soon rectified by Libby one of the angels.
It is 100% better then my old cable propagator.
